The portrait below on the left is my son, David, in 1985, dressed to the nines for his Senior High School Prom. He's 39 now, a wonderful guy, and one handsome dude. The self-portrait on the right is a painting everyone I know seems to love to hate. I like it very much. I painted it while squinting into a mirror intensely trying to record what I saw.

Z13. Zak's Yak
The painting above was made from a photograph I took in 1986, while on a trip to Northern India and Ladakh. Zak's Yak is quietly resting in the foothills of the Himalayas.
